Registered Gas Engineers Dublin

A Registered Gas Engineer or Installer (RGI) is one who has completed the mandatory gas installation safety training requirements and supplies the RGII with the insurance needed to undertake gas installations to the necessary industry standard. Gas installations should only ever be undertaken by a Registered Gas Installer or Engineer. Since June 2009 all engineers/installers have had to register with the RGII to be able to legally carry out installations, repairs, servicing and maintenance.
All RGIs carry an official gas safety qualification, they all have public liability insurance for the work they do and they are all trained in the Irish Installation Standards. Whenever you are considering any gas work in your home you should always ensure that the installer you choose is and RGI and has their credentials to prove it. It is unlawful for anyone not registered as an RGI to carry out any domestic natural gas installations. An advertising campaign was run through 2010 across TV, radio and mail shots to promote safety awareness about all aspects of gas installation and to highlight the importance of using a Registered Gas Installer.
